Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 12, 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains what information this website collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We do not sell your data for money, and we do not require an account to use any calculator. We do use advertising and analytics partners that may process limited data as described in “Advertising and third-party cookies” below.

Information we collect

Our calculators run in your browser. The salary, hours, filing status and other figures you enter are not stored on our servers and are not transmitted to us. They are used only to compute your estimate on the page.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand aggregate, anonymous traffic so we can improve the site. GA4 may set cookies to measure visits.

If you are in a region that requires consent (such as the EU/UK under GDPR), we operate Google Consent Mode v2: analytics cookies are denied by default and are only set after you click Accept on our cookie banner. If you click Decline, no analytics cookies are stored. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

Advertising and third-party cookies

This site is supported by display advertising. To show ads, we work with one or more third-party advertising partners and ad networks. These partners and their providers may set or read cookies and similar technologies on your device, and may collect information such as your device type, browser, approximate location (derived from your IP address) and interactions with ads. This information is used to serve, measure and — where permitted — personalize the ads you see.

We do not receive or have access to the personal data these partners collect through their own cookies. The figures you enter into our calculators are never shared with advertisers — they stay in your browser. See “Your choices” below to opt out of personalized advertising.

Your choices

  • Accept or decline cookies via the banner, or reopen it with “Cookie settings” in the footer.
  • Browser controls: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
  • Google Analytics opt-out: install Google's opt-out browser add-on.
  • Personalized ads: opt out of Google’s personalized ads at Google My Ad Center, or across many networks at YourAdChoices and Your Online Choices (EU).
  • California residents: you may opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising using the controls above or the “Cookie settings” link. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where applicable.

Data retention & sharing

Aggregate analytics data is retained by Google according to your configured GA4 retention period. We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share limited device and usage data with our advertising and analytics partners so the site can display ads and measure traffic, as described above. Calculator inputs never leave your device.

Children’s privacy

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. Material updates will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
